1.
Location
Guangxi Normal University (Hereinafter
referred to as GXNU) is located in Guilin, which is known as a world famous
tourist destination as well as a city of national, historical, and cultural
significance. Since ancient times, Guilin has been known to Chinese people
worldwide as “the most beautiful place under the heavens.” The Li River was
selected by CNN in 2013 as one of the 15 most beautiful rivers in the world,
and it is the only river selected in China.

University Introduction
Founded in 1932, GXNU has three campuses:
Wangcheng Campus, Yucai Campus and Yanshan Campus, covering a total area of 300
hectares. Located in downtown Guilin, and with a history of 700 years,
Wangcheng Campus used to be a very famous prince’s palace in the Ming Dynasty
and is the only campus in China that enjoys the status of being a national 5-A
tourist attraction. With beautiful scenery, cultural relics and well preserved
historic sites, It is said to be one of the most beautiful campuses in China. There
are 21 teaching colleges (departments) with over 2,800 faculty and staff and
over 40,000 students of all kinds. Until now, GXNU has established cooperative
and exchange relations with over 200 universities and institutions of higher
learning in more than 40 different countries and regions. In the past decade,
In the past 10 years or so, it has increasingly worked to expand its enrollment
of international students and now more than 15,000 overseas students have come
here to further their studies by long or short-term education programs.
3. Program contents
The duration for this program is 5 weeks.
Two classes, 18 students in each class, will be set up according to students'
entrance test for Chinese language.
3.1 Chinese Language Courses: Listening,
speaking, reading, writing, (1 class period lasting for 40 minutes)
